Kate is Larry’s wife, and Sarmoti’s daughter. She’s the moral conscience of the family and she’s the one who’ll always try to help people, which in the pilot episode causes a bit of a crisis when Larry wants some time alone with her but she’s too captivated trying to find the lonely Foo-Lin a partner that she just doesn’t feel it’s the right time. Later in the series, when Kate is running for PTA head, she accidentally makes a racist comment against the turkeys, which she tries as hard as possible to correct, not just to get the PTA presidency, but to leave behind her father’s old bigotive ways once and for all.
Even further into the series, she ruins her father’s prized zebra rug in anger, and when Larry and Kate are at the Watering Hole, they debate whether they should kill a lonely zebra and take his skin or not. Kate isn’t impressed by the idea but Larry eventually convinces her to kill him and take his skin under the condition that they feel him out first and ensure he has no family before they kill him.
